Our company

Sadosa Standard, is a company dedicated to the manufacture of sanitary wares such as wash basins, pedestals, toilets and bath accessories. Born in Santiago de los Caballeros, via a joint venture between national and foreign investors. Among the Dominicans you can mention the Casa Haché, Americana hardware stores and Mercantil del Caribe. The foreign capital is composed by the company "American Standard, Inc.", which is one of the largest manufacturers in the world in the area of sanitary wares and the Spanish company ROCA.

The company initially operated for the local market, but then expanded its markets to countries like Haiti and other Caribbean islands, realizing that Sadosa growth was closely linked to the export capacity of itself.

This capacity has been met to perfection, so much so that they have placed their wares in countries as distant from each other, like South Korea, United States, Canada, Japan, Saudi Arabia and Jamaica, among other destinations.

These markets have been successfully penetrated as explained by the Director of Industrial Relations, Mr. Julio Olivo "thanks to the quality exhibited by the products offered." The quality is such that it was the first Dominican company that has been able to place in the Japanese market a product that has been totally made in the Dominican Republic, from the raw materials to the final manufacturing processes.

In 1985, Sadosa acquires Cerámica del Caribe (CEDELCA), a company of Spanish capital, located in Madre Vieja, San Cristóbal, Dom. Rep. dedicated to the manufacture of sanitary wares, which at that time was going through difficult times in their finances.

In its beginnings, the foreign staff was extremely numerous, among whom were American, Filipino, Spanish, Nicaraguan, and other nationalities. Gradually, after learning the manufacturing techniques of these wares, the Dominican personnel then passed on to occupy a majority position in a matter of about 3 years and currently more than 99% of the staff is Dominican.

As a subsidiary of American Standard Inc., Sadosa with a technical support and the experience that for nearly a century it has accumulated. Forms a part of a family distributed in 15 countries in Asia, Europe and the Americas.

Occurs at the same time, the same patterns of the American company. Each of these products are designed by teams of engineers and are tested to ensure they meet strict quality standards of the United States.

In 1992, the Board of Directors agrees that Sadosa Standard only will dedicate its production to meet local demand and export to USA, Canada and the Caribbean islands (Trinidad, Barbados, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Haiti, Antigua and Aruba).
